Volunteering with PPS
To volunteer in a role where you have contact with students (chaperoning field trips, helping in a classroom or library, etc.) you must submit a PPS Volunteer Application.
1. Complete Training & PPS Volunteer Application
If you are new to Vestal, PPS requires a background check and a Mandatory Training for PPS Volunteers that interact with students. You can find the online training and info here: https://www.pps.net/volunteer
Once approved, the PPS Volunteer Application is valid for 3 years. The approval process can take several weeks.
2. Submit ID
After you complete the online training and your application is approved, you'll need to go to the front office and the school secretary Dollie will scan your government ID (Driver's License, State ID, Passport, or Consular Card). This allows you to sign in at the computer at the front desk and print a name tag with your photo on it.
If you're not sure if you've completed the training, check with Dollie, in the front office, or better yet search your old e-mails (under Raptor System or raptortech).
