Vestal Green Team October 1st and October 8th

1) City Councilors at Vestal - October 1st 7:40 am 

Join our District 3 Councilors Steve Novick and Tiffany Koyama Lane along with PBOT Safe Routes to School staff as they join our Walk/Bike buses!

The route they're taking is still TBD. Join us on the route (we'll tell everyone when we get more info) and/or meet at the bike racks at the start of school. Bring your feedback on walking/biking to school, feedback on new infrastructure, safety concerns, etc.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:

For City Councilor Ride Along, we are looking for 1 volunteer to set up a table ahead of the event (7:30am-8:15). Beth Harvey will hand over the things you will need for setting up.

2) Wednesday, October 8th, we’ll be celebrating International Walk & Roll to School Day! 

We will have Safe Routes to School swag and donut holes available at the school bike racks 7:45-8:00 for participating students. Sync up with friends in your neighborhood to walk/bike/roll together, or join us at:

Bike bus at 7:45 at NE 70th & Davis

Bike bus at 7:45 at the Montavilla Minifarm (NE 78th & Oregon)

Walking school bus at 7:40 at SE 86th/Burnside 

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:

For Walk & Roll Day, we are looking for 1-2 volunteers for table/swag set up to hand out things to the kids, and one to support crossing at 80th & Everett (7:30am-8:15 the back entrance to the playground). Beth Harvey will hand over the things you will need for setting up.
