Parent / Teacher Conferences
Parent / Teacher Conferences will be held on Monday, 11/24 and Tuesday, 11/25. Please see your student’s teacher for your individual conference time.
Movie Night: K Pop Demon Hunters!
We are so excited for our first movie night of the year! Join Rumi, Mira, and Zoe for a rousing screening of hit movie K-Pop Demon Hunters.
Doors will open at 5:30 the movie will start at 6:00. All kids must be accompanied by an adult.
Admission and popcorn are free, we will also have pizza for $1/slice and various other concessions available for sale. Please RSVP here so we can be sure we have enough pizza!
Community Care Day
Join our grounds and garden team for another fantastic Community Care Day! Let’s get our garden ready for winter, and continue to maintain and beautify our school grounds! Join us from 10-12 for a good hang and getting some good work done.
Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day
Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day will be held this year on Friday, November 14. This day honors the living legacy of the civil rights activist who — in 1960, at just 6 years old! — etched her name in history when she walked to school and integrated all-white William Frantz Elementary School in New Orleans. Since then, Ruby has become a national icon for her courageous act. The goal of Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day is to inspire kids to make positive changes in their school and community.

Join us for a fun morning of community building and school beautification!
Help out with the garden, playground, school grounds and into the neighborhood - Weeding, Trimming, Pruning, Trash Pickup!
Early Release
Early release: students will be released at 11:50 AM.

Walk and Roll Day
On Wednesday, October 8th, we’ll be celebrating International Walk & Roll to School Day!
We will have Safe Routes to School swag and donut holes available at the bike racks 7:45-8:00 for participating students. Sync up with friends in your neighborhood to walk/bike/roll together, or join us at:

City Councilors Join Vestal Bike & Walk Buses!
District 3 Councilors Steve Novick and Tiffany Koyama Lane, along with PBOT Safe Routes to School staff, will join our Vestal Walk and Bike Buses!
Routes & Meeting Spots:
Bike Bus North: Meet at Montavilla MiniFarm (NE Oregon & NE 78th Ave) at 7:35 AM; departs 7:45 AM (City Councilors will join this route)
Bike Bus West: Meet at NE Everett & NE 70th Ave at 7:35 AM; departs 7:45 AM
Walk Bus East: Meet at SE corner of E Burnside & 86th Ave at 7:35 AM; departs 7:40 AM
Afterward, gather at the bike racks for coffee, back-to-school swag, and community building before classes begin. Stay awhile if you’d like! Bring your thoughts on walking and biking to school, feedback on new infrastructure, safety concerns, or any ideas to make our routes even better.

Community Care Day
