Keeping the campus clean, and supporting the student garden

The Grounds & Garden Green Team is a dedicated group of Vestal families and community members who come together to care for our school’s outdoor spaces.

From keeping the campus clean and safe to supporting the school garden and green spaces, we help create a welcoming and healthy environment where students can learn, play, and grow, and we’d love for you to be part of the team!

El equipo Grounds & Garden Green Team es un grupo dedicado de familias de Vestal y miembros de la comunidad que se unen para cuidar los espacios al aire libre de nuestra escuela.

Desde mantener el campus limpio y seguro hasta apoyar el jardín escolar y las áreas verdes, ayudamos a crear un entorno acogedor y saludable donde los estudiantes puedan aprender, jugar y crecer —¡y nos encantaría que tú también formaras parte del equipo!

What We Do / Lo Que Hacemos

  • Grounds Cleanups – Regular efforts to keep our schoolyard clean, safe, and litter-free.

  • Greening the Campus – Planting and caring for trees, shrubs, and other greenery to help create a climate-forward campus.

  • Garden Support – Maintaining Vestal’s Student Garden through cleanups, planting, and summer watering, ensuring it remains a thriving educational resource.

  • Student Connection – Supporting garden education that helps students connect with food, nature, and each other.

  • Limpiezas del Campus – Esfuerzos regulares para mantener el patio escolar limpio, seguro y libre de basura.

  • Reverdeciendo el Campus – Plantar y cuidar árboles, arbustos y otras plantas para crear un campus sostenible y con conciencia ambiental.

  • Apoyo al Jardín – Mantener el Jardín Estudiantil de Vestal mediante limpiezas, siembra y riego durante el verano, asegurando que siga siendo un valioso recurso educativo.

  • Conexión Estudiantil – Apoyar la educación en el jardín para que los estudiantes se conecten con la comida, la naturaleza y entre ellos mismos.

Why It Matters

These efforts not only create a more beautiful and sustainable campus, but also encourage students to take pride in their shared spaces and build lifelong habits of care and stewardship.
