Monday, January 5th is Vestal's second day to send 5-6 volunteers to the PTA Clothing Center to help kids receive clothing and sort through donations so there are lots of choices for kids to see.  Volunteers can be parents, grandparents or community members. Hours are from 9:30am -1:30pm. Each PPS school is responsible for sending volunteers two times during the school year to assist students in receiving clothing and shoes.

Since 1964, the center has been helping all PPS children that do not have access to age-appropriate clothing. Last school year, we assisted around 1,500 PPS students only with the help of our wonderful volunteers. More info on their webpage https://www.pps.net/Page/7073

This is a great volunteer event for anyone who loves clothes and organizing. You may be assigned to a parent or child to help them pick out clothing. Or you can help sort through donations and organize clothing by size. Feel free to bring clean clothing and shoes your children have outgrown to the center.
