  • Initial plan to be presented in October/November

  • Vote in December/January

6 Yearly Goals

  • Continue with the focus and goals aligned with PTA and school leadership

  • Host two in-person PTA meetings with dinner and childcare. First in November/December to align with rightsizing announcements

  • Advocating/marketing for improved capture rate and neighborhood image (open events to public, merch for businesses to display in their windows, etc.)

  • supporting academic success.

    • we dont pay for reading results anymore. Thanks Vestal! proposed math program in the budget instead

    • separate bucket of money for other academic support (socioemotional learning and wobble stools were suggested)

7 Treasurer's Report

  • Budget was read and reviewed by Abbie Collier and Steve Pagenstecher

  • Rock Paper Soirée will be conditional on rightsizing news. It may be more appropriate to host a different kind of event depending how our school is affected

  • Irina requested to increase the specials supplies line item from $1500 to $3000. Budget was not amended to reflect the request

  • Budget Vote

    • Steve Pagenstecher moves to approve the 2026/2027 budget with no amendments

    • Rick Delhommer seconds the motion

    • 8 in favor

    • None in opposition

    • Motion passes

8 Unfinished Business

  • Oregon PTA website - It is alive! But with a new address http://oregonpta.com/

Embark savings program - College savings fund. Open to all students this year even if they already have an account. $50 to each student that enrolls this year.  If 100 students sign up, the PTA receives $2500. If 150 students sign up, the PTA receives $7000

VOBO - Honeycomb will no longer be our messaging platform in 2026/2027.  VOBO is the current successor.  Many are not happy with VOBO though and Abbie to look into an alternative option that is not free.

Montavilla Jazz Fest - Turnout was poor probably due to rain. Irina says that we can expect a better turnout next year and was pleasantly surprised by the festival in general

9 Open Discussion

  • Bylaws Read by Rick Delhommer

10 Closing

The Zoom meeting was adjourned by Abbie at 8:00 PM. We hope to see everyone at our next PTA meeting!
