City Councilors & Staff Join the Vestal Bike & Walking Buses
Join our District 3 Councilors Steve Novick and Tiffany Koyama Lane and PBOT Safe Routes to School staff next week as they join our Walk/Bike buses!
Bike Bus North: Meet at Montavilla MiniFarm, NE Oregon & NE 78th Ave at 7:35 AM to depart at 7:45 AM (City Councilors joining this route)
Bike Bus West: Meet at NE Everett & NE 70th Ave at 7:35 AM to depart at 7:45 AM
Walk Bus East: Meet at SE corner of E Burnside & 86th Ave at 7:35 AM to depart at 7:40 AM
Gather at the bike racks for coffee, back-to-school swag, and community building before classes begin. Folks are welcome to linger afterwards. Meet at the bike racks at the start of school. Bring your feedback on walking/biking to school, feedback on new infrastructure, safety concerns, etc.

From hosting inclusive events to funding classroom needs, our work centers on equity, connection, and care. Everyone is welcome to participate, whether you attend meetings, volunteer, donate, or just stay in the loop.

New Outdoor Learning Courtyard!
Made possible by Depave and the Lower Columbia Estuary Partnership, and supported by the PTA,
this project replaces asphalt with trees, native gardens, seating areas, a willow tunnel and more.
We’ll be making way for a whole new outdoor space where students can learn, explore, and thrive.
The project has begun! Depave, Vestal families, and community members came together to start removing pavement on Saturday June 21st. Check the in-process pics below!
